lyrics

Now that it's got me feelin' stupid, now that I'm lonely outside, I don't tend to blame my misfortune, I thank it for the more fortunate times.
No, I don't tend to carry my misfortune, I see it hidin' in the pleasant times.

Now that it's got me feelin' honest, yeah now that my tongue is tied in truth, it's not right that everything we work and plan for leaves us wanting so much of our youth.

Now that I've added up my hours, handled something so basic as my time just like another commodity, like miles per gallon, like my smokes and my wine.
Now I don't like to think it's uncommon, this thought sneakin' into my showers: Is this how a person's supposed to live? Is this what what I want for my kids? Is this how a human ought to live, is this what She meant for Her kids?
